Occupational therapy is a client-centred, regulated health care profession concerned with promoting health and well-being across the lifespan. In British Columbia, occupational therapy is an evidence-based Master’s degree program. Occupational therapy services are now covered by some extended health plans.
The occupational therapists at Canopy Integrated Health have taken additional training and have focused their practice on paediatric feeding. They are passionate about supporting you and your child to have the best possible start to feeding, through prenatal breastfeeding education, infant feeding support and/or the introduction of solids. For older infants, toddlers and children we can help problem solve around negative mealtime behaviours, limited food variety, picky eating and oral-motor skill development. Our occupational therapists believe that ‘Fed Is Best’ and are here to support you and your family at any stage of feeding development.
